New Click Interface (GUI) for Enhanced Functionality

22Lookup is a valuable tool for the Jewish learner of Talmud Bavli, offering comprehensive searches across Shas, Rashi, Tosfos, Tanach, and a selection of Meforshim. The interface’s intuitive design allows users to effectively navigate Ain Mishpat Ner Mitzvah, presenting resources such as Rambam, Tur, Shulchan Aruch, and Smag. Users can also perform gematria searches within Tanach.

Development Status

After three years of dedicated development in spare time, 22Lookup remains a work in progress. Current features include dictionary lookups and access to additional Masechtot in Ain Mishpat Ner Mitzvah. Many enhancements are planned for future versions but have yet to be implemented due to time constraints. Despite this, the existing core features aim to foster a user base that can help guide ongoing improvements.

Design Goals

The platform recognizes that learners often require the full context of a pasuk rather than isolated fragments found in the Blatt. Additionally, comparing an Amud in different Masechtot or seeking specific phrases in Rashi or Tosfos can be advantageous but time-consuming. 22Lookup addresses this need by maximizing efficiency to support focused learning.

A comprehensive manual accompanies the software, filled with examples intended to help users quickly understand the man-machine interface and begin benefiting from the tool's functionalities.

• Access to Rashi / Tosfos on Talmud Bavli

• The Rambam's Mishneh Torah accessible for study

Search Features

Users may search for any "search string" across the indexed materials. Each word in Shas is indexed for precise results that include references to the Amud, line number, and word number on the line to facilitate quick location of relevant content.
